Born in Lahr to a military family, Chris Beaton spent his early years as an army brat before eventually making his way from New Brunswick to Alberta, where his passion for music continued to grow.

A self-taught musician with more than 30 years of experience, Chris has dedicated his life to mastering both bass and guitar. Over the years, he has played in numerous cover bands throughout New Brunswick, performing everything from hard rock classics to Top 40 hits and building a reputation for strong musicianship and energetic live performances.

Although his roots are deeply grounded in rock and metal, this marks Chris’s first venture into country music — a challenge he has embraced wholeheartedly. Bringing intensity, precision, and passion to every performance, Chris is committed to doing each song justice while delivering an entertaining and memorable experience for the crowd.

His musical influences span a wide range of genres, from iconic ‘80s and ‘90s metal bands like Iron Maiden and Scorpions, to desert rock pioneers such as Kyuss, Clutch, and Fu Manchu. His appreciation for country music ranges from legendary storytellers like Johnny Cash and Kris Kristofferson to modern country stars including Cody Johnson, Dierks Bentley, and Chris Stapleton.

Among the musicians who have inspired his playing style the most are legendary bassists Steve Harris, Billy Sheehan, and Rudy Sarzo — players known for their power, technical ability, and unmistakable stage presence.

He recently joined Chad Lodge & Prairie Junction as their new bass player and background vocals and has fit in extremely well.
